Then we bring on some goats,
With long hairy coats, I’m talking the sort that are feral.
Hitch them and kids, to go-carts on skids,

The thrills and spills, the mud and the muck, the Kids Goat Cart Races are not to be missed.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, goat racing (either with a cart or bareback) was a popular pastime appearing at school sports days, shows and celebrations. Today, feral goats are rated by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) as a high priority pest (ref).
The King of the Ranges Billy Goat races are a laugh a minute.
Rules
Age restrictions: minimum age is 5yrs old, maximum age is 10.
Maximum weight is 35kgs on our scales (there will be a weigh in).
If you pay up but exceed weight limit on our scales, there will be NO REFUNDS.Waivers must be signed by parent or guardian or no ride.
Helmets (supplied) must be worn.
All safety briefings, checks and rules must be adhered to.
Finish line will be set and if any child holds onto the reins past this point they will be disqualified and banned from future participation. We are committed to looking after our goats and this is a welfare measure.
Enter at the Secretary’s Office.
Entry Fee $10/child/session. Completed waivers must be handed in with payment.
Limit of one ride/session per child.
Please note the goat races are a huge draw card, incredibly popular and often a cause for disappointment if your child can’t get a ride because of goat availability. We apologise for this let down but sadly don’t have access to an unlimited number of billys.
