SCHOLARSHIP

King of the Ranges Stockman’s Challenge $1,500 Training/Study Scholarship

To be awarded to a person between the ages of 16 - 20 years.

In May 2011 the King of the Ranges Committee introduced a $1500 Study/Training Scholarship. The inaugural award went to Georgia Ladmore, a third year Veterinary Science student from Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga.

Georgia grew up on a farm and has always loved animals which eventually lead to her decision to become a Vet. After graduating, she hopes to work in a mixed Veterinary Practice and then specialise in bovine or equine reproduction.

Georgia attended the Presentation Ceremony at the 2011 Event where, apart from accepting the award, she spent the weekend watching the Stockman’s Challenge Events and expressed her admiration for the quality of the horses and the ability of the competitors to handle their horses.

* Young people between the ages of 16 and 20 years are again invited to apply for the 2012 King of the Ranges $1500 Scholarship.

* Prospective applicants should note that their home address must be within 100 kms of Murrurundi. The specific postcodes included  are listed in the Scholarship Conditions.
